Making the Most of Your PVC Sign

A PVC sign is a useful way of marketing an event or business but you need to make sure that it looks professional and is easy to read. If you want to know how to make the most of your sign then read on.

Creating your own customised vinyl or PVC sign is the perfect way to advertise an event, new business or to take with you to events and shows. They are durable and easy to transport but best of all, you can print almost anything you like onto them. This means that business logos can be printed onto them to help boost brand recognition; you could even use a specific colour scheme to make your signs even more recognisable.

PVC signs can be made in a variety of different sizes so you are sure to find something suitable for your needs; just have a chat with your printer to see what is possible.

Designing your Sign

When it comes to designing how your sign will look, there are a few things you will need to bear in mind to make sure that you get the most out of your advertising. Be sure to keep the writing large enough and well-spaced so that it is simple and easy to read; be wary of complicated fonts, they may look good but can be difficult to read! Try to keep the information basic but to the point, if your sign is too wordy this can put people off reading, plus if they are passing by in a hurry the more succinct it is the more they are likely to take in.

Try to choose colours that work well together as anything too busy or bright may be ignored. If there are certain phrases within the text that you wish to stand out, then try to highlight them in bold or use a different colour. This can be really useful if there is a lot of writing on the sign as it is easier for people to get the key information.

You will also need to be mindful of where you place your PVC sign as the location is just as important as the sign itself. Try to place it at eye level so that people will notice it and not have to strain to read it. Make sure you place it somewhere where there is a lot of traffic; this could mean positioning it away from your business or location if you are tucked out of the way.

It can be a good idea to include some graphics as well to help make the sign stand out and to break the text up and make it more obvious what the sign is about. Try to make sure that the graphics do not overshadow the text and that the colours work well with each other.
